Best Dorms at CU

Finding the best dorms at CU isn't difficult. All it takes is a little research. It's good to know what you're looking for in a dorm. Do you want to live alone, or with a roommate? Are you looking for a place where you can easily find parties, or somewhere quiet to keep up with your studies? Knowing what you need helps you narrow down the best options for yourself. You can also find a list of the best dorms at CU here.

Sewall

Sewall Hall is located on central campus, and right next to the Rec Center. You can't get a much better location than this. You'll get quick and easy access to classes, lectures, and all the happenings around campus. It's also adjacent to Varsity Lake, giving you a great view. The dining hall features some of the best food on campus. There are a variety of dinner options, a grab-and-go area, and even a store where you can buy snacks and other essentials.

Libby Hall

Just across from Farrand Field, you'll find Libby Hall. This dorm hall is located in the center of campus, making it easy to get to classes, the library, and more. The rooms are spacious and well laid-out, making it a perfect option for anyone looking for a new dorm. The new dining facilities at Libby Hall put them on par with the dining hall at Sewall. Libby Hall is home to about 400 students each year, so there's no lack of social interaction when you choose this dorm option. Rooms feature a microwave and mini fridge, making your move much easier.

Baker Hall

One of the most newly renovated dorm halls on campus, Baker Hall was fixed up in 2014. So, everything you see here is brand new, making it a great option for those who want the best. The views are also amazing from the dorms. Many students who live here are in natural science, pre-health, or environmental studies programs, but you don't have to be in one of these to apply to Baker Hall. The dorms are also close to classes, making it a great option for when you simply don't want to have to walk forever to get to class. If you're big on sustainable design, this is the dorm for you – it recently won LEED Platinum status due to the sustainable living options and functionality.

Farrand Hall

Farrand Hall sits at the base of Farrand Field and in the center of campus. In the dorm, you'll find rooms with a spacious balcony, giving you some amazing views while you're studying. The dorm has a grab-and-go area with food, making it easy to eat on the go. Arts and Science majors live here, and it's only open to Freshmen and Sophomores. However, some of the benefits of Farrand Hall include wireless internet access, community events, and on-site classrooms.

When you're considering a dorm, remember that you have to make your decision early. Put in your applications as soon as you can, to help get into the dorm that you want.
