Ship To School

Whether you're heading off to college for the first time or you're returning to school after a great summer, getting your items to college can be a hassle. Fortunately, College Student Storage (CSS) knows exactly what you're dealing with.

We can help you by having your items arrive to you at your new address the day you arrive at school. No matter if you are sending items from home or purchasing new ones, live on or off-campus, or are a new customer or a previous customer, we have you covered. Option1: Ship items from Home to our office, (we can send you packing supplies if needed):

5 Easy Steps

1. We can ship you a box kit of 8 boxes ( 6 lg and 2 med)  and tape to your home ahead of time ( optional)

2. We email you UPS shipping tags, which you print out and apply to your boxes. (optional)

3. You take to a UPS store or outlet near you or schedule a pick up at your home through UPS online (optional)

4. UPS picks up your items and ships them to our office (optional)

5. We store them in our warehouse and then deliver them to you when you arrive at school

**Note- We can receive anything, it doesn't have to go in a box. Suitcases, ski bags, duffle bags, XL boxes, not a problem

 **Note- You can use your own boxes if you want

Option 2- Ship items from a company to our office:

1. You sign up at csstorage.com and get an account

2. Order your items from any company that you wish to purchase and have them shipped to us

3. Address these items to your student's name along with their confirmation # to our office address

4. Please note that if items are labeled to " College Student Storage" we will not accept them and return them to the sender. We deal with hundreds of items being shipped to us, they have to be clearly labeled with your student's name and confirmation # on each item. 

5. Make sure to email our office and let us know how many items we will be receiving info@csstorage.com 

6. We store your items in our warehouse and then deliver them to you on the scheduling delivery dates for your school. Please go to our homepage csstorage.com and select your school icon to see our scheduled delivery dates for your school. 

 

If you need Boxes to pack with

With our Ship to School option, If you need boxes to pack with, We can ship you a box kit of 6 LG and 2 med boxes, plus a roll of tape to pack with to your house. The cost is $59 for the box kit plus the shipping cost. If you need more let us know. We can ship you as many as you want.

 

We can also make UPS labels for you from your home to our office and send them to you via email, along with $500 of insurance on each box. Once you've packed your moving boxes, attached the labels to them. we can help schedule a pickup with UPS. UPS will come to your home and pick up all your tagged boxes and items ( like suitcases or duffel bags etc..) and ship them to our office. At CSS, we'll be ready and waiting to receive your boxes and items and put them in storage in our warehouse until you need them delivered to your student's new address when they return to school.

• Make sure to give 7 days from when you sign up for your box kit to arrive.
• Please make sure that all boxes/items are marked on all sides in marker with your name and confirmation # (which you receive at signup).
• If you have suitcases or your boxes or duffel bags, not a problem, you can send them to us.
• Once your items have shipped, please email us the total count of boxes/items so that we can make sure they all arrive at our office.
• Feel free to have online purchases shipped directly to us, but make sure the companies address these items with your name and confirmation.
• labels for you from your home to our office and email them to you. You can attach them to the boxes and we can help you schedule a UPS to pick them up directly from your home. 
• All items need to be addressed to your student's full name and confirmation # when we receive them.
• We will not receive any items addressed to College Student Storage and will have them returned to the sender
• We ship all of our client's belongings via UPS, a trusted leader in the shipping industry. We put $500 of insurance on the shipping tag we make for you

 "Ship to School" Pricing

Ship to School Receiving, Storage & Delivery
This is the cost for us to receive your items at our office, label them, drive them to our warehouse, put them away at our warehouse, and then deliver the items on the day you want them delivered.

The prices are as follows :

• $39 per small box/item
• $49 per medium box/item
• $59 per large box/item
• $69 per extra-large box/item
• Furniture and extra-large items again depend on the size and are usually between $75-$125
•  Please don't ship us tiny items and envelopes, they get lost. 
• Please try to have all your items shipped to us at the same time. 

The shipping you a box kit

• Your $59 deposit is for the box kit we ship to you and for reserving this service.
• The cost to ship you a box kit is and depends on where we are shipping it, around $40-$60 
• The box kit we ship to you includes 6 LG boxes, 2 medium boxes, and a roll of tape

Shipping charges:

• We can email you as many shipping tags as you need and schedule you a UPS pick-up at your house. you will only be charged for what tags you use.
• Customers will be charged shipping rates for the UPS tags they use that we send them, based on our shipping chart of sending items from our warehouse to students' home addresses. The chart is located at https://www.csstorage.com/shipping/shipping-pricing
• Any items over 50 lbs will receive a $40 overweight surcharge
• A $50 XL package surcharge will apply to a package that is considered an "XL Package" when its length plus girth [(2 x width) + (2 x height)] combined exceeds 130 inches
• Any item not encased in cardboard will receive a UPS handling fee of $35

Additional charge:

• If we move your "Ship to school" items past the ground floor, a moving fee of $45 every 15 minutes applies.

 

When We Deliver

No matter if you're an early bird who's packing months in advance or a late riser who's packing up at the last second, we'll store your boxes and deliver your belongings to your dorm or apartment, or house when you arrive at school. Take a look at our delivery schedule for your school by clicking on your school's icon on our homepage and selecting a day that works for you.

• At each school, one of our delivery dates always coincides with the first day that residence halls are open to incoming freshmen.
• Most colleges and universities will NOT accept shipments to residence halls early. CSS stores them for you until the residence halls open!

• For all Schools, you need to get us your ship-to-school items no later than August 7th

• For all Schools outside CU Boulder, You need to look at the website and click on your school icon on our homepage for scheduled delivery dates at your school. If you want a delivery outside our scheduled delivery dates at your school, there will be a special delivery fee based on what school you are located at.
