CSU Storage, Moving & Shipping for College Students
Colorado Student Storage provides convenient CSU storage, moving, and shipping services for Colorado State University students living on or off campus in Fort Collins. Whether you’re heading home for summer, moving between apartments, studying abroad, or returning for another semester, CSS can handle your belongings from pickup through delivery.
Our campus storage services are designed around the needs of CSU students and their families, making it easier to move, store, and ship belongings without renting a truck or managing a storage unit yourself.
Summer Services
College Summer Storage & Services for CSU Students
We offer ALL of our services year-round, but the following are our most popular summer services. From college summer storage to moving, shipping, and semester storage, CSS provides flexible options for CSU students throughout their college experience.
Short-Term Moving & Storage Services
Perfect for students between leases who need storage for days, weeks, or months. Includes a complimentary box kit (up to 12 boxes in three sizes) plus tape, labels, tie-tags & a marker—delivered to you before move-out. Learn More

Ship to School
Get everything waiting for you on campus—no heavy lifting required. Choose the option that fits your needs:
- Parent Ship-to-School - Parents order online and ship items (beds, furniture, bedding, etc.) to our office. We warehouse them and deliver to your campus address when you return.
- Student Ship-from-Home - We send you boxes & prepaid labels. You pack & drop off at UPS; we receive, store, then deliver your items to campus when you arrive.
Semester Storage
Now is the time to sign up for Semester storage if your going abroad in the Fall 2025 or taking a semester or year off of school. We will deliver boxes and tape to you ahead of time and can storage anything, including vehicles
Colorado Student Storage Made Easy for CSU Students
CSS makes storage easier by combining pickup, secure storage, and return delivery into one convenient service. Instead of transporting everything to a self-storage facility yourself, our team can pick up your belongings from your CSU residence hall, apartment, house, or other off-campus residence.
When you return to Fort Collins, schedule your delivery and we’ll bring your belongings to your new address. It’s Colorado student storage designed around the schedules and needs of college students.
Delivery - August 2026
- Free Delivery Window: Friday, August 14 - Saturday, August 22 for Summer Storage and “Ship to School” customers. (9 days to choose from)
- We do not do deliveries on Sunday, August 23rd or Monday, August 24th- Our staff is all college students and have to get ready for school and it’s the 1st day of classes
- We offer special deliveries all summer outside these dates for a fee. $100 before August 16th and $250 after August 23rd. Simply register online and select any available date and time window that works best for you.
CSS will be closed and no deliveries will be available on Wednesday, August 23 (staff preparing for classes) and Thursday, August 24 (first day of classes).
Delivery Schedule & Protocol
- You can pick a morning delivery (9:30am - 12:30pm) or an afternoon delivery (1:30pm - 4:30pm).
- You don’t need to wait around all day. You can:
- Run errands and meet us when we call/text.
- Have a roommate or parent meet us and sign for your items.
Before Delivery
- Log in to your account and update your delivery information and any special instructions.
- You’ll receive:
- A confirmation text and email 2 days before delivery with your time window and a chance to reschedule.
- A reminder text the day of delivery confirming we’re on our way.
- Our staff will call or text when they are 15 minutes away and again upon arrival.
- Please be reachable by phone. If we can't get in touch, your delivery may be delayed and subject to a fee.
Day of Delivery Expectations
- Be ready at the start of your delivery window.
- Do not call the office for ETAs—we promise, we're coming.
- If no one is present and we cannot complete your delivery:
- A $175 redelivery fee will apply. ($250 for DU & Colorado College)
- Your items may arrive later that day or the next.
Additional Considerations:
- For any missing items (often due to label issues), allow up to one week after school starts for resolution.
- If you need extra storage for another semster - no problem. We can store your items for as long as you need, just let us know.
Abroad Delivery
- Free Delivery Window: Jan 17-18
- After Classes Begin (Post-Jan 18): Special deliveries available at $100 (subject to availability).
Delivery Instructions
Before Delivery:
- Update Your Info: Log into your account and edit your delivery information in your account up until 48 hours prior to delivery - after that please call the office.
- Special Instructions: Add any delivery notes in your account.
Day-Before Protocol:
- A text confirmation will be sent. If not received, call 303-545-9525 immediately.
On Delivery Day:
- Time Window: 11am - 3pm (exact times are not guaranteed).
- Our crew will call or text when they are approximately 15 minutes away.
- For Ground Floor Deliveries: No extra fee.
- For Additional Moving: If delivery requires extra moving (e.g., upstairs drop-offs), fees are $58 per 20 minutes or $175 per hour.
- Warehouse Pick-Up Option: Available for a $50 fee (arrange ahead by contacting the office).

Fall Services
Going Abroad This Spring or Fall?
Now’s the time to register for storage! We store everything—including vehicles—so you don’t have to worry while you’re away.

Leaving your car behind for Winter Break? We've got you covered. Your vehicle will be stored indoors at our Boulder warehouse.

Curbside Pickup
- Bring all packed and labeled items outside to the designated pickup spot for your residence hall.
- Staff cannot wait while you pack or label items—be fully ready.
- We do not come into your room for curbside pickups.
In-Room Pickup
- Available only for on-campus residence halls and in-house Greek housing.
- You must meet staff outside and escort them into your room.
- All items must be packed and labeled.
- Additional fees apply if we need to pack or label anything for you.
- Repacking is based on availability and not guaranteed during busy windows.

Off Campus & Greek Pick Up - May 2026
Pickup Details
- Our Free CSU pickup dates are Saturday, May 10 - Sunday May 17 (8 days to choose from)
- We offer special pickups throughout the spring and summer outside these dates for a $100. Simply register online and choose any available date and time window that works best for you.
What to Expect
- You’ll receive 2 text messages:
- 2 days before your pickup: Confirms your pickup time + lets you update your info if needed.
- Day of pickup: Confirms we're on the way.
- Our staff will call or text when en route.
- Please be fully packed and labeled by the start of your pickup window.
Important Policies
- Be Ready at Start Time: If you're not ready, you’ll be rescheduled to the next available window (or the next day) and charged a $75 reschedule fee.
- We do not wait while you pack or label items.
- Need us to help pack? It’s $43 per 15 minutes or $175/hour.
- Requesting a return visit during the same window? $75 re-pickup fee, based on availability.
- Moving furniture? Additional moving fee applies:

Box Kit Delivery

Our CSS truck will be located and marked at the following locations and times on both Sundays:
- In the parking lot between Edwards Hall and Academic Village, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- On the south side of Corbett Hall, on Plum Street, across from the indoor practice facility, 1 p.m.- 3 p.m.
If unavailable these dates: Contact us ahead of time and we will leave a box kit, tape, poster tube, and packaging supplies at the front desk of your residence hall. Or have a friend or pick up.
- A CSS Standard Box Kit includes: 4 large boxes, 3 medium boxes, 3 small boxes, tie tags, sticker labels, tape, and a marker.
- Take as many boxes as you need. Please return any unused boxes at pickup to avoid additional charges.
- Extra supplies: We will have shrink wrap, bubble wrap, wardrobe boxes, large and small Tv boxes available. These items are an additional charge
Off Campus/Greek Box Kit Delivery
Delivery Days:
- Sunday, May 3rd
- Sunday, May 10th
We deliver boxes, tape, labels, and packing supplies to your Greek house or off-campus address.
If you're not home, your kit will be left in the lobby, at the front door, or another visible spot—labeled with your name and confirmation number.
Late Pickups
Visit Vape CO 2.0 (634 S Mason st. on the Northside of CSU campus) with your confirmation number to pick up a kit outside of delivery schedule. 970-632-5004
Guidelines & Additional Information
Preparation & Labeling
Pack your items securely. Use the provided marker and labels:
- All boxes: label all four sides with your full name and confirmation #
- Large items: Apply four labels.
- Small items: Apply two labels.
- Use tie tags for items where stickers might fall off.
- Label all items with your full name, confirmation #, and school
Important: Do not pack food in boxes—if food is detected, a $250 surcharge will be applied.
On Campus Pick up Tips
- For curbside pick up, you have 20 minutes from the time we call you to bring all your items down to us.
- For in-room pickups, please come down and meet us at the designated pick up time for your hall, and be prepared to escort our team to your room (extra $75 applies).
- For in-room pick ups- please make sure all your items are ready to go and packed and labeled appropriately.
- If students return to us any unused boxes when we pick up their items they will receive a $2 credit per box on their invoice.
Off Campus Pick up Tips
- We bring mattress covers and put them on for you if you have a bed
- We do not store items in trash bags; they have to be boxed
- We will do light assembly and disassembly of bed frames
- We do NOT take down mounted TVs or shelves
- Be ready for us and have all items labeled with your full name and confirmation #
Delivery Tips
- Be patient, we're coming! Please don't call.
- Ensure someone is available to sign for your items.
- We can work with you if you are coming in late that day with a custom delivery time.

- Defrost: If students give us an un-defrosted fridge and it leaks all over the truck/warehouse- it’s a $100 charge
Extra Assistance Available
- For additional services on pick up like in-room pickup, last-minute shipping services, adding more items, hauling items away - we got you covered.
- We can repack fragile items at our warehouse with custom boxes like TV''s or fragile items.
- We will help students with light assembly/disassembly of bed frames.

What does my box kit include?

How do I schedule a pickup or delivery?

Can you store my items longer?

Am I supposed to tip the workers?
- August is extremely busy! We move quickly—please be patient. If our team does a great job (all college students), tips are always appreciated!
- If you have heavy items in your vehicle, our team would be happy to help if you offer to tip them.
