About College Student Storage
Trusted Full Service Moving and Storage for College Students Since 1996
College Student Storage (CSS) has been the go-to solution for college student storage in Colorado for over 29 years. Locally owned and operated by a former CU student, Michael Shelhamer. He started CSS while in the business school at CU Boulder in 1996 and hasn’t stopped. What began as a simple Summer Storage idea, turned into a lifetime career with numerous services for college students and their parents over their entire college career. We’ve helped over 33,000 students and families quickly move, store, and ship their belongings. Whether you’re on or off campus, heading home for the summer, or studying abroad, we make moving stress-free. “Relax, We Got it”
Our Promise
We built CSS on hard work, trust, and top-tier customer service. Our office and warehouse are located in Boulder, and we perform all of our own moving, storage, and shipping—we never outsource to third parties like many larger companies. As a moving company with storage, you always know who is handling your belongings, and there are never hidden fees or surprises.
Our staff is all current college students and we’ve hired over 1500 to work for CSS since 1996. It’s a great job and learning experience for these students while they go to college.
For three decades, we’ve been committed to providing students with high-quality service and peace of mind. Whether you’re moving in, moving out, or just need short-term storage, we’re here to make the process simple and affordable.
